LBG has fanning maneuver for a 10% or so more damage for a duration. (Not to mention that this is in competetion with Jyratodus' LBG which Rpf Spread 2) For Spread, HBG might have the edge. But not by much. And every other ammo (maybe except slicing and stickies and even then its tied or only a slight advantage to HBG) LBG has HBG beat currently.

Sticky 3 and Slicing are also available, sticky has been nerfed, especially in term of recoil, but it still has its use.It depends on the type of ammo you wanna use. You pretty much always want free element/ammo up on all bow gun builds. Other than that try to get spare shot and then buff up the ammo type ur using (e.g. normal ammo up or boosting your specific element) But yeah lbg was kind of shafted in high rank and is pretty hard to make effective.

The best starter High Rank set for most weapon types thanks to its High Critical Eye level. With the starter talisman, you can easily net a level 6 critical Eye which can grant a flat 30% affinity. It also has consitution 3 for stamina heavy weapon types so Bows, Dual Blades, Insect Glaives, and Hammers will love the Izuchi S set.

Talking about it quickly, low rank to high rank uses raw attack builds; normal, pierce 1, and pierce 2. For Master rank, you should focus on elemental builds, for my recommendation, I chose Elemental Pierce. It's more ideal for end game content (Anomaly Investigations).
