As @timselectric said, if you have EG4 set for option 5 (battery comms) the batteries could be limiting your charge current. Unfortunately when battery comms are used, the inverter values don't update with what values the batteries are actually using. You would have to plug a computer into the batteries and use the BMS tools app to see what's going on from that standpoint.

Hi, I am working on figuring out how to set up my solar arrays for the EG4 6500EX. Using SanTan Solar T Series 250W Snail Trails panels. I used Midnight Solar to calculate each string: I found that 4 strings in series joined at a combiner box seemed to be the only way I could get to the 4000w PV input for each of the two MPPTs in the EG4 6500EX.

Today was a bright, virtually cloudless day, temps about 50F and the time was about 2pm. I had a small space heater on low heat (about 800W), and switched it to high heat (1.6kW) and it shut down and gave me the F06 code.I'd purchase something else for an inverter, take that 6500EX and use it for another purpose.
