The reason the manufacturer went to an electric pump was because of fuel injection. Kept the original Peugeot manual tranny. Got a lot of obstacles to overcome (mainly wiring-don't have the donor XJ bulkhead harness) and the one that I am working on right now is the fuel delivery. It is a proprietary piece of fuel line you cant buy off the shelf i used to buy them from the dealer for about $90.
