1) If it's a hydraulic clutch, check the fluid level in the reservoir, if required, top it up, and pump the pedal a few times. Also check for leaks and anything loose. 2) If it's a mechanical clutch (metal rods or a cable) then study where the best place is to adjust the linkage to endure the free-play is correct.
