Go on sandbox and turn "starting population" down to 0.2 or 0.3. More zombies will spawn later on but your first day will be significantly easier. If you do this and also start off in Rosewood or Riverside you can have plenty of time to get yourself established before the full-sized hordes start spawning.I think Neon City is a bit too simple. I'd suggest you call it after a town/city you like irl and maybe change it a little, so that it has more of a identity on the workshop.
