Have a DRZ400E in the shop, low km's, been sitting, not able to get it to stay running. Backfires through the inlet and stalls. Unable to get idle speed set properly, either too high or too low. As its a slide carb the idle adjuster changes the point at which the slide stops, further adjusting done with mixture screw to get correct idle speed.So the DRZ-400 was Suzuki 's first toe in the four stroke single - water cooled pool. The stock carb jetted with jd jet kit is plenty with 3x3 mod. I don't see spending the extra money to buy a different carb. I 3x3 my box and jetted my carb with jd kit and put a full fmf on over a year ago and I have never had a problem. The differences (inaccuracies) are not specific to the DRZ400 Mikuni 36mm BSR carb. What I point out as inaccurate applies to all CV carbs. I understand the example is not intended to exactly represent the DRZ carb. The example correctly represents the general layout of a generic CV carb with some simplification.

The knock off fcrs are only $150. Looks to have the correct adapter and manifold. The AP linkage appears to be wired though which shouldn't be done to the MX carb, only the o-ring mod. It looks to be pretty dirty though.

I probably spent $50 on all that.
