The time limits for the pistons provided no extra challenge whatsoever and that area was pretty tedious as whole. The fight is easiest in merciless. Personally, I didn't have much problem, if at all, with any of bosses in P5/P5R, including Okumura. Granted I only beat him in Normal difficulty and I was around lvl 40-45. My only DLC persona was Izanagi Picaro at around lvl 43 I think.
