They also boost the top speed and acceleration by 2 (same as the best stirrup). They are the best saddles in the game.

All of my trapper saddles give the same -50% drain rate to stamina, the same that the stirrups did anyway. So with the +2 to speed and acceleration the trapper saddles all give you the stats from the best stirrups. In addition you get the nice boost to the - core drain rate on both stamina and health and the + to regen rate on stamina.

While trapper saddles are undeniably the best saddles stat wise, the beaver saddle gives the highest health core drain rate (26%) and the panther saddle provides the highest stamina core drain rate (also 26%). These are the two highest stat boosts you can get.
