When air conditioner is on it wil make knocking noise (like someone knocking on door kinda fast) and it will continue a minute or two after turning it off. Happens 1-2x week. If it sounds like it's coming from under the hood then check the engine fan. That can run after a car is shut off. Just becareful and don't touch the fan blades.
