Now both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are back on. Well the first thing you will need to do is have the truck scanned for codes. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations. So they will both need to be reset.

Turn off the engine. Restart the engine and pull straight ahead in drive. Light should go off in a couple of hundred feet. This tutorial is based on the Nissan owner’s manual. The procedure above can be applied to second generations of Nissan Xterra (2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 model years).

Tried disconnecting the battery, the whole drive straight thing, brake pads, rotors, fluid has all been done recently. Starter, battery, alternator all tested good, starts and runs just fine as if the lights weren’t on.
