Mortality means wether or not the infection is lethal or not. With mortality turned off you’ll get extremely sick and need to take time to properly rest and recover from it but it will not kill you on its own. Without the ability to rewind time or sleep reliably it takes about 3-4 longer to progress in the MP. Going to expand a bit, might be handy. In vanilla, without changing anything in sandbox, a bite is a 100% death sentence. You'll die within 2-3 days. Bites aren't the only way to get the Knox Virus. Scratches and lacerations caused by zombies can infect you too. Scratches with 7% and lacerations with 25%.You can cure Wound infection easily, just take care of the wound, disinfect it if needed, keep a clean bandage on and it'll go away. But the zombie infection, which is contracted on a 7/25/100% chance for a Scratch/Laceration/Bite caused by a zombie is incurable.
