I know the price of everything keeps going up but I got my Optima from cabelas for 135.00. It was on sale because the 45's had fallen out of favor. JumboShrimp and Duckwisperer. Like.I have shot a Wolf and it was an accurate rifle. I am not sure which of them have a BERGARA BARREL. I have been reading the descriptions of the rifles CVA makes and when they discuss the Accura and Apex they point out it has a Bergara barrel. This is not the case for the Optima or the Wolf.

Re: CVA Accura vs CVA Optima. I have shot both and saw no difference in accuracy. CVA advertises the Accura as their premium rifle to justify the higher price. They say it has a Bergara barrel, but I think the Optima has one also, just not advertised to get customers to pay out more $$$.

I've used pellets for years and I'm a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kinda guy. Hornady 300grain XTP's in .452 absolutely knock deer down! No blood trailing required. The 240 grain work well but not like the 300's. This what all of my little circles shoot and they are all CVA's. Accura's, Optima's and a Wolf. The XTP's shoot great in all of them.Oklahoma.
