The Stoeger is basically a lesser quality version of the Affinity, both of which are made under the Beretta/Benelli umbrella. If you couldn't find a Franchi near you, the Stoeger isn't a terrible choice. Avoid Weatherby at all cost. They're Turkish-made guns that aren't particularly known for long lasting quality. 2.

You are correct on the order. The Franchi is for sure the superior gun between the two and the price tag reflects that. Franchi is made side-by-side with Benelli in Italy. Stoeger does have the exact same Inertia-Driven recoil system that both the Benelli and Franchi has, but at a much cheaper price point.
