Taurus "Millenium"-series autos are made of plastic and do, indeed, seem to be pretty crappy. The "Millenium"-series, however, has about as much in common with other Taurus autos as the Colt AA2000 does with the 1911. PT-945 is a fine gun and a good "Poor Man's P-220". Machining is excellent, all surfaces/rails/slide are smooth. I removed the firing pin and safety plunger, cleaned everything up, did a light lube. Polished the plunger along with frame trigger bar and a few other parts. This K2 45 compact has a 4.2" barrel, an OAL of 7.8", OAH of 5.7", OAW of 1.3". The unloaded weight is 38oz's.

On the right side of the gun just above the grip is the trigger bar. On top of the trigger bar rides the trigger bar spring in a narrow grove.
